After the initial snow foam, safe wash and decontamination stages, we proceeded with a 2-stage correction eliminating the deeper scratches and abrasions, then refining to a deep, glossy finish.

Paint protection was in the form of Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer/EXO combination to ensure a hardy layer that protects against future marring, swirls and light abrasions. The “Self Drying” hydrophobic EXO coating means that future washes are completed with ease, with minimal contact.

The black soft top was cleaned and protected with Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric, creating a durable, breathable Hydrophobic coating.

Wheels were sealed with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour, giving one year of protection against dirt and brake dust.

Finally we were asked to touch up some “light flirting” between the wheels and kerbs, which we did with some colour matched gloss black paint.

The customer was extremely happy with the transformation, and couldn’t get over the high level of gloss achieved. They actually considered using the car less, but that only lasted a few days!

They have since reported how easy the car is to now clean, with water beading and sheeting from everywhere. We supplied the customer with a basic Safe Wash Kit, comprising of 2 buckets with grit guards, Lambswool wash mitt, PH Neutral Shampoo and large microfiber drying towel. They were also given basic training on the safe wash process, along with tips on “drying” the car with an open ended hosepipe to “sheet” off the rinse water.
