A self confessed “Petrolhead” from a very young age, Sixteen Detailing founder Elliot has always had an obsession with cars.
The origins of Sixteen Detailing can be traced back to when Elliot was a thirteen year old offering neighbours and family friends a “wash, wax & hoover”. How times have changed.
WHY SIXTEEN DETAILING?
After purchasing a MK2 Golf GTI 16V, Elliot caught the “Show Scene Bug”, restoring his MK2 to a completely original “as new” condition. Although in good condition and after some body work, the gloss black paint was never quite up-to-scratch.
Elliot purchased a dual action machine polisher, and armed with some internet research and YouTube tutorials set about refining the paint. The bug bit hard, and before long weekends were spent detailing friends and families cars.
With the MK2 Golf 16V starting the journey, it seemed fitting to name the company after it, and so “Sixteen Detailing” was born.
